Who We Are
The Perry Family
Camp Director Brandon Perry and wife Kate have both "grown up" at summer camp. Both spent years as campers, then as counselors, and have helped lead Camp Solgohachia for the past several years, bringing a whole new level of energy and fun to the program. Camp DNA definitely runs deep in these two and they bring that invaluable experience to every detail of Camp Solgohachia. They love what the Lord is doing on our mountaintop and love investing into the lives of the campers (and counselors), helping them have a blast and discovering how amazing Jesus is and how much they are loved by Him!
Our counselors are hand-picked high school and college-aged students who embody the values of humility, faithfulness, and honor. They are our most important asset, and we put tons of time, energy and effort in training them well to take extraordinary care of your kids. These energetic followers of Jesus pursue the Kingdom with a deep passion that creates an environment that is radically freeing and wildly fun!
Counselors take time to get to know each camper individually and often camper and counselor become very close friends by the end of the week! They are the ones who teach you how to shoot a bow, cruise down a zipline, find you a new toothbrush if you forgot yours, do a crazy dance while you're going to your next activity, and tell you a story from the Bible before going to bed.

What We Do
Our heart and vision for summer camp is for every camper to come and experience who Jesus is and how much He loves them, and have an incredible time doing it! He is the source of our strength, our fun, and our laughter. Our desire is to partner with parents to help raise up a generation whose hearts are stirred with a deep love for God. Camp Solgohachia is boldy a Christian camp.
We know God wants to reveal His love to every camper and help them discover the freedom and joy of walking with Him for a lifetime! We hope that a week on our mountaintop will help them "see" how amazing life is in the Kingdom of God, where they are loved, treasured, and honored as one of His kids!
Not only do we try to maximize our fun here at Camp Solgohachia (and it is unbelievably fun, if we do say so ourselves), but we try to impart the love of God to each camper. We do this through the relationships and friendships formed with counselors and by emphasizing personal devotional time with God. In fact, one of our primary "takeaways" from camp is imparting the value of loving God by regularly setting aside time to spend with Him alone.
Everything we do at summer camp is built around relationship. We keep our counselor-to-camper ratio very low so that we're able to connect with every camper, because that's how Jesus wants to connect with us! We keep the message very simple, emphasizing God's love for us and how we can love Him back.
Where We're Going
As our summer camp and year-round retreat events have experienced rapid growth over the past few years, our facilities and infrastructure have struggled to keep pace. More kids, adults, and families are making their way to our mountaintop every year and we are quickly outgrowing our current lodging capacities and activities.
We are currently raising capital funds to renovate and build, as well as add staff to manage this wonderful blessing of growth. We are in critical need of financial partners to help us.
We have several new activities we need to add, we have much needed repairs and updates to current facilities, and we need to add more lodging. Please prayerfully consider how you might be able to partner with us, whether by donating finances, supplies, equipement, time, or even networking.
We charge significantly less for camp than it costs us to run because we don't want there to be a financial barrier to someone coming to camp and experiencing the Kingdom of God.
